1 loaf fresh French Bread
2 cubes butter ( 1/2 lb.) or margarine (softened)
2 tsp. granulated garlic
1 tsp. Salad Supreme seasoning (or Salad Elegance)
1/3 c. Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Dried Parsley (optional)

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Cut slices down the length of the bread about 1-inch intervals. Mix all remaining ingredients (with selected optional items) in a bowl. Spread butter mixture between bread slices and on top of the loaf. Wrap bread in foil and bake for about 30 minutes, until heated through.

There are many variations to this. For especially flavorful bread, reduce the oven temperature to about 325 degrees, then let the bread cook very slowly. You can also open the foil slightly on the top to make the bread a little more crunchy ( it doesn't retain all the moisture). Another alternative is to slice the bread in half lengthwise, then cut into 4-inch slices. Prepare as above. For extra crunchy, you can open the foil and place each piece of bread under the broiler on a cookie sheet for 1-2minutes. You can also add grated cheddar cheese to the butter mixture, or place grated cheese on top of bread before grilling.
