1 pound bulk pork sausage
1 medium onion, chopped
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
1 cup grated, peeled apple
1 package (17 ounces) puff pastry
2 tablespoons milk

Directions:
Directions:
Brown sausage and onion over medium heat in a skillet, breaking sausage up well. Drain. Combine cooked sausage, Cheddar cheese, and apple in a mixing bowl, mixing well. Set aside.
Preheat oven to 400' F.
Roll one sheet of puff pastry out on a lightly floured surface to a 10x15 inch rectangle. Spread 1/2 of the sausage mixture lengthwise down the middle third of the pastry. Cutting from edges to sausage filling, cut left and right thirds into 1 inch wide strips. Fold alternating strips over filling in a criss-cross pattern to look like a braid. Repeat with remaining puff pastry and sausage mixture.
Transfer pastry gently to a greased baking sheet. Brush top with milk. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
