2/3 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup mashed ripe bananas
2 1/4 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon soda
3/4 teaspoon salt

Directions:
Directions:
Mix the ingredient until they are well blinded.
Fold in as many chocolate chips as you wish.
Drop by teaspoon on a greased cookie sheet ( I prefer to use Parchment paper)
Bake at 400 degrees for about 12 minutes.
Remove from pan at once

I got this recipe from Mom on March 9, 1973. This was one of her favorite cookie recipe at the time so she made them often.
