Apple Pie Recipe

For crust:
2 1/2 c. flour
1 lb. unsalted butter, softened
Egg white
Milk

For filling:
5-6 apples (Granny Smith, Golden Delicious, or Cortland), cored and peeled
1 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. tapiochia
1 tsp. cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Combine flour and butter and knead dough. Add 1-2 Tbsp. of ice cold water. Refrigerate in ball for at least 4 hours. Roll out dough on cold surface and place bottom crust in pie dish.

Combine filling ingredients and spread into bottom of pie pan. Place top crust on top and pinch together edges with fork. Cut four holes on top of pie. Whisk egg white and milk and coat mixture on top of pie crust with brush for a golden crust. Cover edges with foil and bake 40 minutes at 400º. Remove foil and cook 10-20 minutes until apples are tender.

* I mix up the fillings in a 1 g. ziploc to equally coat the apples with cinnamon and tapiochia.
