6 slices bacon
1 medium onion, chopped (1/2 cup)
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 lb. ground pork
1/2 lb. ground veal
1/2 c. ketchup
1/3 Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 egg

TOPPING: 1/2 c. ketchup
2 tbsp. packed dark brown sugar
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

Directions:
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 350ºF. In 10-inch skillet, cook bacon until crisp; drain on
paper towels, reserving 1 tbsp. drippings in skillet. Crumble bacon, set
aside. Cook onion in bacon drippings over medium heat, stirring
occasionally, until tender.
2. In large bowl, mix onion & remaining meal loaf ingredients except
bacon. Spray broiler pan rack with cooking spray. On rack in pan,
shape mixture into 10x5-inch loaf. Bake 50 minutes.
3. In small bowl, mix all topping ingredients. Spread over top & sides of
loaf. Sprinkle bacon over top.
4. Bake 20-25 minutes longer or until meat thermometer inserted in center
of loaf reads 160ºF. Let stand 5 minutes before slicing.
