Pudding:
1 cup sugar
2 egg yolks
4 tbsp. flour
2 1/2 cup milk
2 tsp. vanilla
bananas
vanilla wafers

Meringue:
2 egg whites
4 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Combine first five ingredients in a sauce pan and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thick (pudding thickness)
Layer bananas and wafers alternately in an oven safe bowl, adding cooked pudding after each layer of wafers.
Beat egg whites at high speed until it holds a peak, add sugar and vanilla and beat in good.
Spread meringue over pudding and bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees until top is slightly brown. Remove from oven and place on cooling rack.
