1 cup butter
1 cup white sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla or almond extract
2 1/3 cup flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar well. Blend in egg and flavouring. Combine dry ingredients separately and stir into creamed mixture.Pack dough into cookie press. Press into desired shape onto ungreased cookie sheet. Sprinkle with coloured sugar or press pieces of cherries into dough. Bake at 400º for 7-8 minutes. Keep an eye as they are very flat and burn easily.
