1lb. peeled and deveined Shrimp (tails off)
1lg. can Tomato Sauce
1sm. can of Tomato Paste
1c. Water
1 Onion, diced
6 Garlic Cloves, diced
3 stalks of Celery, diced
2 Jalapeņo Peppers, diced
1T. Worcestershire Sauce
1tsp. Pepper
1/4t. Salt
1/2 pkg of frozen sliced Okra

Directions:
Directions:
Saute in a tablespoon of Olive Oil the celery, onion, garlic, and peppers till softened. Then add to a large saucepan the cooked mix with the tomato sauce, paste, water and Worcestershire sauce, with spices. Simmer on stove of low heat for 15 minutes. Add the Okra and cook for another 20 min, stirring periodically. Then add the shrimp and cover and cook on low for 10 min. Serve over rice with cornbread.

This has been served every Christmas Eve that Greg and I have been home. This was Greg's grandmothers Oma Lea Gray's recipe. Greg was the original chef of the this dish and after several years turned it over to me. It is a beautiful dish for the Holidays and is a family favorite.
