3 c. Sugar
1 c. Karo
1 c. water
coloring (optional)
Confectioner Sugar
flavoring (optional)

Directions:
Mix sugar, Karo and water in 6 qt. pot, stir until sugar is dissolve then let it boil stirring occasionally to a hard crack stage ( about 300º on candy thermometer)
While mix is cooking prep cookie sheet by covering bottom completely with confectioner sugar
When mix reaches hard crack stage add flavoring (flavor oil about 2 tsp. or flavor extracts use about 2 oz.) and color, 4 to 5 drops should do it
let it cool and then crack into pieces

If you use cinnamon oil, which is my families favorite, be very careful and don't put your face or skin anywhere close. Cinnamon oil burns
