1/2 c. butter, softened
1/3 c. sugar
1 c. flour
1 T. vanilla (divided)
1 - 12 oz. pkg. semisweet chocolate chips
4 - 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1 1/2 c. sugar
4 eggs
2/3 c. nuts, chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Beat butter until creamy, add sugar and beat well. Gradually add flour and blend. Stir in 1 tsp. vanilla and nuts. Press mixture into bottom and up sides of 9-inch spring form pan. Bake crust at 350º for 12 - 15 minutes. Cool.
Beat cream cheese until fluffy. Add sugar beat well Add eggs and beat. Stir in remaining vanilla. Do not over mix. Pour 1/2 of batter into crust, sprinkle chocolate chips to within 3/4 inch of edge/ Pour remaining batter on top. Place cheesecake on baking sheet and bake at 350º for 1 hour. Cool on rack. Serve slightly warm.
