3 c. sugar
⅔ c. light corn syrup
⅔ c. hot water
¼ tsp. salt
3 egg whites
1 drop of vanilla mint
1 tsp. of vanilla
½ c. chopped nuts
Food coloring

Directions:
Directions:
1. In a 2 qt. saucepan mix sugar, syrup, water, and salt. Cook over medium high heat until sugar dissolves and mixture starts to boil. Cook to a hardball stage (250°) without stirring. Whip with paper towel on spoon around pan. Remove from heat.
2. In a separate bowl beat egg whites until stiff.
3. Pour hot syrup over egg whites. Beat constantly at high speed for 5 minutes.
4. Add flavoring and food coloring and beat until mix forms soft peak and begins to lose its gloss. Add nuts.
5. Drop by tsp. onto wax paper.
