1 2/3 c. oil
6 eggs, room temp
5 c. flour
1/4 tsp. Baking Powder
1 tsp. Baking Soda
2 c. Sugar
1/2 cup Almonds, slivered
2 tsp. Vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Beat eggs on high speed in mixer until fluffy, add sugar, vanilla and oil. Combine all dry ingredients by sifting flour mixture and then add to egg mixture. Put dough in the refrigerator for one hour. Use large serving spoon and shape dough in long loaves on a cookie sheet. Loaves should be about 2 inches wide. Bake at 350º for 20 minutes or less, until light brown. Then slice loaf diagonally for each cookie. Place on cookie sheet with cut side up and toast under broiler until light brown, then turn cookies over and toast in other side.
