1/4 cup butter or margarine(butter is always better)
3/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/3 cups all purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon baking powder

Pre-Heat Oven to 425º. Cream butter and sugar in a stand mixer and add egg, sour cream, and vanilla Combine all dry ingredients. Add to the creamed mixture. Chill 1 hour. Most of the time I do it without chilling. Drop by tablespoons full(I use the smallest Pampered Chef cookie scoop) 2" apart on sprayed pan or you can use a Silpat or parchment paper to line the cookie sheet. If you use one of those, there is no greasing or spraying that has to be done. Bake at 425 for 7-8 minutes. Cool and frost with icing made from powdered sugar,butter and milk. Makes about 18 cookies.
