Cookie Dough:
½ cup butter
¼ cup brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
1 egg
1-¼ teaspoon vanilla
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
Dash salt

Chocolate Filling:
1 12-ounce package chocolate chips
2 tablespoons butter
¼ teaspoon vanilla
Dash of salt

Directions:
Directions:
In a large bowl, mix flour, baking powder and salt. Cream butter and sugar; add egg and vanilla and beat until light and fluffy. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Batter will be stiff. Divide dough in half. Roll each half between 2 sheets of waxed paper or plastic wrap to an approximate size of 10 x 12 inches. Chill until almost firm. Meanwhile, prepare the chocolate filling as follows: melt chocolate chips with butter over a double boiler. Stir until smooth. Add vanilla and salt; mix well and allow to cool slightly. Spread dough with the chocolate filling. Roll up in jellyroll fashion and wrap in plastic wrap. Chill for 2-3 hours, but no longer. Cut with sharp knife into ½ inch slices and bake in a pre-warmed 375ºF oven for 10-12 minutes.
