1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup butter or margarine softened
1/2 cup buttermilk
2 eggs
2 tsp. root beer extract
1 tsp. vanilla extract
4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt

Frosting:
1 cup powered sugar
1 tbsp. half and half
2 tsp butter or margarine softened
1 tsp. root beer extract

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 375º. Lightly grease cookie sheets and set aside. In a large mixing bowl combine sugar, brown sugar, butter, buttermilk, eggs, root beer extract and vanilla extract. Beat at medium speed of mixer until well blended. Add flour, baking soda and salt. Beat at low speed until soft dough forms. Drop by heaping teaspoon 2" apart onto the prepared cookie sheets. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until set. Cool completely.
Frosting: In a small mixing bowl combine all frosting ingredients. Beat at low speed until smooth. Spread on cookies, let completely dry before storing. Makes 5 dozen cookies.
