1 1/4 cups butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 1/2 cup flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 cup finely ground hazelnuts
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1/8 cup butter

Directions:
Directions:
Beat butter and sugars. Add vanilla. Add dry ingredients. Slowly mix into butter. Stir in ground hazelnuts. Form dough into a ball, cover with saran wrap and refrigerate for 1 hour. Rolls into balls, slightly faltten. Place on parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Bake at 350º for 10 - 15 minutes. Let cool. Melt chocolate and butter. Dip one end of cookie into melted chocolate mixture. Let chocolate set. Sift powdered sugar over other half of cookie. Cookies freeze well. I make these cookies at Christmas time, and often I will just bake the cookie base and then freeze until I am ready to decorate. So delicious!!
