1/2 pound (2 sticks) unsalted butter or margarine, softened
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
3/4 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 TBLS vanilla
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
3 cups old fashioned oats, uncooked
1 cup raisins
1/2 cup pecans or walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Beat together butter and sugars until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla, beat well. Add combined flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. Mix well. Stir in oats, pecans and raisins; mix well. Drop rounded tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet; then remove to wire rack.
