Directions:
Mix all ingredients together; grease a pan with butter. Let chocolate melt and stir often; when it starts to boil over, turn fire down to low and let cook for a few minutes; then test with cold water until a soft ball forms with finger. Then run cold water in sink. Put in 1/2 T white vinegar and just stir the vinegar up. Let pan sit in water bath for about 15 minutes or 20. Take out of water bath.
Put 1 tsp. vanilla in the candy mixture and stir and beat until thick enough to pour out into greased pan.

Personal Notes:
My mother, Vergie Davis, made the best chocolate fudge I have ever tasted. This recipe is typed just as mother dictated it to me many years ago!
