1/2 lb. vanilla wafers, crumbled
1/2 cup butter
1 lb. powdered sugar
2 eggs
1/2 pint (1 cup) heavy cream, whipped
1 (No. 303) can crushed pineapple, drained
15 maraschino cherries, sliced
1/2 lb. miniature marshmallows
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Line an 8x12-inch pan with one half wafer crumbs. Blend butter, powdered sugar and eggs with electric mixer; pour over the crumbs. Chill until firm. Fold pineapple, cherries, marshmallows and sugar into whipped cream; pour over mixture. Top with remaining crumbs and walnuts; chill overnight.

This recipe probably came from my our neighbor and mother's good friend, Ruth Miller of Princeton, WV. Ruth was a wonderful cook. She and mother traded a lot of good recipes over the years.
