2 c. buttermilk
1 10 oz. can applesauce
1 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. grated lemon rind OR
1 Tbsp. grated lime rind

Directions:
Directions:
Combine all ingredients except lemon/lime rind. Blend well.
Pour into 9" square pan and freeze until firm.
Sprinkle with lemon/lime rind before serving.

Looks like Mom's handwriting on the recipe card; but I don't remember her making it. Lots of notes on the back...directions to somewhere...a nursery, turn left - shopping center...and lots of names....what a mystery! djp
