1 Cup Butter
1 Cup Brown Sugar
1 Cup White Sugar
2 Eggs
1/2 Tsp. Salt
1 Tsp. Baking Powder
1 Tsp. Baking Soda
1 Tsp. Vanilla
2 Cups Flour
2-1/2 Cups Regular Quaker Oatmeal
1/2 Standard Hershey Bar
12 Oz. Chocolate Chips
1-1/2 Cups Chopped Nuts

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350º.

Mix Butter and sugars together. Add the eggs, one at a time.

Stir together in a separate bowl the salt, baking powder, baking soda and flour. Add to mix.

Add vanilla.

"Blenderize" the oatmeal and the half chocolate bar (Nancy, you will just have to eat that leftover half!) until it is a fine powder. Add to the cookie batter.

Stir in the chocolate chips and nuts.

Place golf-ball sized cookies about 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 10 - 13 minutes. DO NOT OVERBAKE!
