flour
bacon fat
sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Wash and cut tomatoes in half; if large, cut them in thirds.
Sprinkle flour over them and fry in hot bacon fat about 15 min. on each side until very brown. They should be turned only once, if possible.
Rub Pyrex dish with butter and sprinkle lightly with sugar. Put tomatoes in this dish and sprinkle with sugar, salt, pepper and paprika.
They are baked for as long as an hr. and can be prepared a day ahead of time.
