28 oz can ground peeled tomatoes
15 oz can tomato sauce
2 imported pepperoni sticks cut into 1" chunks
1 small onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp dried sweet basil
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp mint (optional)
pinch of baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
Coat bottom of pan with olive oil. Saute the onion and garlic until soft; add ground tomatoes and tomato sauce. Add all spices and pinch of baking soda. Add the pepperoni and let simmer on medium heat for 2 hours. Stir occasionally, skim off excess oil from pepperoni if desired.
