1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup corn oil
1 T salt
1-1/2 cups warm water
1 cup Sourdough Starter
6 cups or more plain bread flour

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients in a large bowl and let rise 8-12 hours. Cover lightly with a cloth. Divide dough into 3 parts and knead each part until smooth (do not over knead), about 10 minutes, to make loaves. Place in greased loaf pans. Cover lightly with cloth. Let rise 8-12 hours. Bake at 350º for 30-35 minutes. Cool on rack. Can be frozen.

This recipe is from Marion Helms (deceased) of Jackson, TN. She used to make many, many loaves of this bread for the Harris Grove church bazaars; always selling out every loaf each year.
