1 pound butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup icing sugar
2 3/4 cups flour
1/4 cup cornstarch
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
pinch of salt
1 cup flour

Directions:
Directions:
1. Cream butter well, until white and fluffy
2. Add brown sugar and mix well.
3. Add icing sugar and mix well.
4. Mix 2 3/4 cups flour, cornstarch, baking powder, and salt together and add to mixture.
5. Mix well.
6. Add extra cup of flour.
7. Knead dough and make into 4 to 5 logs (1 1/2” diameter).
8. Wrap in wax paper and chill for 3 to 4 hours.
9. Slice and bake at 350°F on an ungreased cookie sheet until brown (approximately 8 to 10 minutes).
