1 cup butter or lard (margarine)
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 cup chopped dates or raisins
1/2 cup walnuts
1 cup flour with 1/2 t baking soda
2 1/2 cups oatmeal

Directions:
Directions:
Cream the sugar into the margarine/butter. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well.
Form into a roll and cool overnight in refrigerator.
Slice and bake as needed.
375 degrees for about 10 minutes
