2 cup yellow cornmeal
1/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 tsp. salt
2 cups sour milk
7 or 8 cups raw chopped apple
2 tbsp butter (melted)
2 eggs (beaten)
1 tsp. soda
1 tbsp. cold water

Directions:
Directions:
In the top of a double boiler, mix the cornmeal, sugar, salt, milk and butter. Set over hot water and cook about 10 minutes. Cool, and add eggs, soda dissolved in water, and apples. Bake in greased 8x8x2-inch pan at 400º about 25 minutes or until done. Makes 8 large squares.
