1 stick oleo
1/2 c. shortening
2 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. water
2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. soda
2 tsp. vanilla extract
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 eggs
pinch of salt

Icing:
4 tbsp. cocoa
5 tbsp. milk
1 stick oleo
1 lb. powdered sugar
1 c. nuts (pecans)
1 tsp. vanilla
Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º. To make cake, mix together in a saucepan, 1 stick oleo, shortening, 2 tsp cocoa and water. Bring to a boil until the oleo melts. Remove from stove. Add while hot: 2 c. flour and 2 c. sugar, sifted together. Beat well until all lumps are gone. Add soda to buttermilk, Add to mixture along with vanilla, cinnamon, eggs and salt. Bake for 35 min. in greased and floured 9 X 13 (or larger) pan.

To make icing, heat cocoa, milk and oleo together in saucepan, until oleo is melted. Add powdered sugar, nuts and vanilla extract. Spread on hot cake.
