1 c. sugar
1/4 c. water
1/2 c. white syrup
1/2 lb. raw Spanish peanuts
1 tsp. butter
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cook sugar, water and syrup in pan until it reaches 250 degrees on a candy thermometer. Add peanuts and cook again until thermometer reaches 300 degrees. Remove from heat. Add butter, baking soda and vanilla. Stir thoroughly and when mixture bubbles up spread it onto a buttered cookie sheet. Let cool and then crack into pieces.
