2 c. cubed ham
3 lg. baker potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
1/2 c. chopped onion
4 T. butter
4 T. flour
2 c. broth
2 c. milk
2 c. shredded cheddar cheese (1/2 c. reserved)
salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Melt butter in 2 qt. sauce pan, add onion and cook until soft. Add flour and cook together for 2 minutes. Add both and milk and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and add cheese (reserving 1/2 cup). Stir until cheese is melted. Add salt and pepper to taste. cube ham and prepare potatoes. Mix together in a 9x13 casserole dish. Pour sauce over ham and potatoes. Sprinkle remaining 1/2 c. cheese over top. Bake at 400 covered for 30-40 minutes, then uncovered for 15 minutes or until potatoes are soft.
