Here is my twist on my German Chocolate Cake, and I'm sure some of you have tried this but here goes. I make my German Chocolate cake from scratch using the Bakers German Chocolate Bar. Instead of spreading this into 3- 9 inch pans I use a 13x9 and a small brownie pan. That's right, two cakes because I keep one at home for me and hubby and take the other to the in-laws. After the cakes have finished and come out of the oven, use a straw or coffee stick or whatever to poke holes all over cakes. Take liquid caramel and pour over them, and I use a whole bottle. The caramel will sink into the cakes. Once they cool, spread whipped cream over the caramel and then top with crunched up Heath candy bars. Chill overnight and serve.
