1 pound flour
3/4 pound butter

Directions:
Cream butter and sugar. Chop fruit. Mix eggs and some of the flour into sugar and butter mixture. Dredge fruit and nuts in rest of flour. Mix all ingredients. Pour in stem pan and cook at 250º or 300º for about 2 hours or until a straw comes out clean.

Note: Cake is better if made ahead, wrapped in cheese cloth soaked in wine and stored in air tight container in refrigerator. More wine will need to be added as cheese cloth dries out. This cake will keep for months when stored in refrigerator.
