2 tbsp butter or olive oil
2 tbsp flour
2 cups grated hard cheese (asiago, parmesan, romano, etc)
2 cups milk (2%, whole, or half and half)
2 tbsp cream cheese
2 tbsp butter
garlic powder to taste
salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

Cook 2 tablespoons butter and flour in a sauté pan on medium to medium high heat for 2-3 minutes. Add milk, garlic salt and pepper, bring to a slow boil. Turn down heat and add cream cheese, mix well. Add hard cheese and stir until melted. Add additional butter, garlic powder, salt and pepper to taste.
