TERIYAKI SAUCE:
1 c soy sauce
3/4 - 1 c brown sugar
Grated fresh ginger, to taste
Grated fresh garlic, to taste
Chicken drumettes
vegetable oil for frying

Directions:

BATTER:
Mix equal parts iced water and flour. Do not beat, mix with fork until well blended. Dip chicken into batter and fry in oil until light brown. Drain on paper towel. Then dip in teriyaki sauce.
Mix all ingredients for teriyaki sauce in sauce pan and heat and stir until well blended. Do not boil.
After you dip the chicken in the warm teriyaki sauce, place on cooling rack to drain the excess sauce.
