2 c apples, peeled and sliced
1 egg
1/2 c sugar, honey, or brown sugar
1/2 c cooking oil
1 c flour (I have replaced flour with Pamela's Baking Mix recently. Gluten free)
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 c nuts, chopped (walnuts)
1/4 tsp ground cloves (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Cut up apples.
Dump apples and wet ingredients into bowl (egg, honey, and cooking oil) in bowl #1.
Mix remaining (dry) ingredients in bowl #2.
Combine wet and dry ingredients together.
Put in ungreased round cake pan bake at 350º for approx. 45 minutes at Denver altitude.

This Apple Dump Cake makes a great breakfast bread or serve warm and add ice cream to make a wonderfully simple dessert.
I got the nickname "Granny Smith" partially because my last name is Smith, and partially because my backyard is an apple orchard.
