1/2 c. butter, softened
4 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. ground red pepper (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400º. Grease a cookie sheet. In a large bowl cream butter & cheese. Stir in flour & salt; mix well. On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough out to 1/2 in. thickness. Cut into 2 in. strips & sprinkle with ground pepper. Place strips on prepared cookie sheets 1 1/2 in. apart. Bake in preheated oven 10-15 minutes, or until crisp.
