1 cup real butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
2 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
2 1/2 cups semi sweet chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º. In a small mixing bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside. In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and egg. Beat well. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture. Mix well. Add chocolate chips. Mix well. Roll a heaping tablespoon of dough into a ball. Place each ball 2" apart on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake in preheated oven for 11 minutes and place cookies on cooling rack.
