2 cups sugar
2 cups minus 2 Tbsp cake flour
1 cup hot water
6 egg whites
1 tsp cream of tartar
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla
Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour and sugar. Stir in hot water and cool. Beat egg whites until stiff with cream of tartar and salt. Fold egg whites into flour mixture and add baking powder and vanilla. Bake at 350 degrees in 9x13 pan. (No time given.) May add 2 Tbsp cocoa for chocolate.

When cool, cut into squares. Freeze. Remove from freezer. Frost all sides except bottom with thin powdered sugar icing. Roll in crushed peanuts. Keep refrigerated or frozen.
