1 cup milk
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup warm water
1 beaten egg
1 t salt
3 1/2 cups flour
1/4 cup shortening
1/4 cup sugar
1 pkg yeast
2 t cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Scald milk. Add sugar, salt, shortening. Cool to lukewarm. Dissolve yeast in ware water. Add yeast and egg to milk mixture. Gradually stir in flour to form soft dough. Beat well. Cover and let rise until doubled. (about 1 hour). Divide in 2 parts. Roll each portion on lightly floured surface in 8 x 12 rectangle. Sprinkle with sugar cinnamon mixture. Roll as for jelly roll. Cut into 1 inch slices. Place in ungreased pan and let rise until doubled. Bake at 375º for 15-20 minutes. Remove from pan and brush with melted butter. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
