2 cups flour
1/2 tsp. salt
4 tsp. baking powder
4 tsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. coarsely ground pepper
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
3/4 cup shredded Edam cheese (3 oz)
1 cup milk

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400º F. Combine flour, salt, baking powder, sugar and pepper in large mixing bowl. Cut in butter until mixture is crumbly. Stir in cheese. Add milk. Stir to make a sticky dough. Drop batter by 1/4 measuring cupfuls onto greased baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
