Apple-Pecan French Toast Recipe

4 eggs
1 c milk
1/4 c sugar
1/4 c cinnamon
1 med Jonathan apple or McIntosh apple, peeled & shredded
8 slices French or sourdough bread, torn into pieces
1/2 c shopped pecans
2 T melted butter

Directions:
Directions:
Coat bottom of 9x13" pan with cooking spray. Combine eggs, milk, sugar, cinnamon, apples & vanilla. Put bread in dish & pour mixture over bread. Turn to coat other side. Cover with plastic wrap & refrigerate overnight. Preheat oven to 425*F. Sprinkle with pecans & drizzle with melted butter. Bake 20 - 25 minutes or until puffy. Serve with warm syrup.

Can also add 2 T brown sugar to mixture.
