Ingredients:	Ingredients: 1 4 oz pkg German chocolate 1/2 c boiling water 1 c butter 2 c sugar 4 egg yolks 1 t vanilla 2 egg whites, beaten stiffly 2 1/2 c flour 1/2 t salt 1 t soda 1 c buttermilk

Directions:	Directions: Heat oven to 350*F, line bottoms of 3 9" round cake pans with wax paper. Mix flour, baking soda & salt; set aside. Beat margarine & sugar in large bowl with mixer on medium until light & fluffy. Add egg yolks, one at a time, beating well after each. Stir in chocolate, water & vanilla. Add flour mixture alternately with buttermilk, beating after each until smooth. Beat egg whites in another bowl with mixture on high until stiff peaks form. Gently stir into batter, pour into prepared pans. Bake 30 minutes or until cake springs back when lightly touched in center. Immediately run spatula between cakes & side of pan. Cool 15 minutes; remove from pans. Remove wax paper. Cool completely on wire racks.
