2 Cups Sugar 2 Cups Flour
½ Cup Butter ½ Cup Crisco
3 Heaping Tablespoons Cocoa 1 Cup Water
½ Cup Buttermilk 2 Eggs
1 Teaspoon Baking Soda 1 Teaspoon Salt
1 Tablespoon Vanilla

ICING:
1 Box Powdered Sugar ½ Cup Butter
1/3 Cup Milk or Whipping Cream 3 Tablespoons Cocoa
1 Cup Chopped Pecans (Optional) 1 Tablespoon Vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
In a large Pyrex measuring cup or large bowl, combine the butter, Crisco, cocoa and water bringing mixture to a boil in the microwave. Add chocolate mixture to sugar and flour and add buttermilk, eggs, soda, salt and vanilla. Mix well and bake 30-35 minutes @ 350° in a greased and floured 9 x 13 pan.

Combine milk, butter and cocoa, bring to a boil in the microwave, add powered sugar and mix well. You can ice cake as soon as it comes out of the oven but I like to wait until it has cooled slightly.
