1/4 c. Crisco
1 stick Butter
1 c. Sugar
1/4 c. Molasses
1 Egg
1/2 tsp. Ginger
1/2 tsp. Cloves
1 tsp. Cinnamon
2 tsp. Baking Soda
1/2 tsp. Salt

Add separately:
2 c. Flour

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º

Cream all ingredients together. Stir in 2 c. of Flour.
Refrigerate for awhile.
Roll in one inch balls, dip top in sugar.

If baking 2 pans, at the end of 4 minutes, rotate pans.

Bake @ 350º for 8-10 minutes.

Cookies are a specialty of Rita's. The first time she made me a bucket of Ginger Snaps and sent them back to UW-Stout with Jay...I knew I was "in". I still love them today!
