4 eggs
3 tbsp real butter
1 tbsp oil
2 cups milk
1/2 cup flour
2/3 cup sugar
1.5 tsp vanilla
1 tsp baking powder
pinch of salt
1 cup sweetened flaked coconut - save some for the top

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º
Spray 2 10-inch pie plates with cooking spray (or butter) and lightly dust with flour
Put everything in a blender except the coconut
Mix until it is blended
Add most of the coconut to the blender and blend for a few seconds until mixed.
Sprinkle the rest of the coconut on top & a dash of nutmeg if desired
Bake for about an hour

This is not 'the' recipe for mom's pie, but it's close I think. There were many recipes for this on the internet, I think this one best represents how the pie was made in the 1980s.
