1 cup sugar
1 can (12 oz.) evaporated milk
1 can regular milk (use empty evap. milk can)
4 eggs (slightly beaten, use empty can to save dishes)
1 large can pumpkin
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
1 Tbsp. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
2 pre-baked pie crusts

Directions:

Mix all in a saucepan and heat on stove. Bring to a boil and boil one minute. Pour in a prebaked pie crust and bake at 425º for 15 to 20 minutes until filling is set. Note: Pre-bake crust in oven for 10 minutes while pumpkin is cooking.

This pumpkin pie is unique in that it is cooked on the stove top before it is baked, there-by making a custard like filling because of the shortened bake time. Some who don't like pumpkin pie say they like this one. Mom taught me how to make it and her mom taught her. Always and only served on Thanksgiving.
