1 1/4 cup flour
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup chopped walnuts, divided
1/2 cup flaked coconut

FILLING:
2 - 8 oz. pkgs. cream cheese, softened
2/3 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
2 cans cherry pie filling

Directions:
Directions:
In a bowl combine flour and brown sugar. Cut in shortening until fine crumbs form. Stir in coconut and 1/2 cup walnuts. Reserve 1/2 cup crumb mixture for topping. Press remaining mixture into bottom of greased 9 x 13 pan. Bake at 350º for 12-15 minutes or until lightly browned.
FILLING: Beat cream cheese, sugar, eggs and vanilla in a bowl until smooth. Spread over hot crust. Bake 15 minutes. Spread pie filling over top, combine remaining nuts and reserve crumbs. Sprinkle over pie filling. Bake 15 minutes. Cool. Refrigerate.

I use a full recipe of crust, 1/2 of cheese and pie filling and put in a smaller pyrex pan.
