1 cup butter or Crisco
¾ cup brown sugar
¾ cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. Baking Soda
1 tsp. vanilla
½ cup Quick Oats
1 ¾ cup flour (increase to 2 ¼ cup flour if you don’t have oats)
1 cup chocolate chips
½ cup Heath bits or Brickle Bits
½ cup chopped nuts (optional)

Directions:

Cream butter or Crisco. Stir in sugars till creamy. Add 2 eggs and mix till creamy. Stir in salt, baking soda and vanilla and mix well. Stir in oats. Gradually add flour, stirring till just mixed. Add chips, bits and nuts. Drop by spoonful 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 F for 8-10 minutes.
