3 c. brown sugar
1 c.cream or milk
1 c. chopped nuts
Butter the size of a walnut

Directions:

Boil the sugar and cream together until a soft ball forms in cold water. Add the butter flavoring and nuts.
Take from fire and stir until it begins to harden.
Put on buttered plates and cut into squares.
