Ό butter (1 stick) Ganache:
1 C Flour ½ C heavy whipping cream
1 C Sugar 8 oz semi sweet chocolate chips
4 Extra large eggs 1 tsp instant coffee or espresso grounds
1 – 16 oz can Hershey’s choc syrup
1 Tablespoon vanilla extract

Directions:
Directions:
• Heat oven to 325 degrees. Butter and flour an 8 inch round cake pan; line bottom with parchment paper.
• Cream butter and sugar in bowl of electric mixer fitted with paddle attachment until light and fluffy
• Add eggs, one at a time then mix in chocolate syrup and vanilla. DO NOT OVERBEAT or the cake will be tough
• Pour the batter into the pan and bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until just set in the middle. Let cool thoroughly in the pan.
• Ganache: Cook cream, chocolate chips and coffee granules in the top of a double boiler over . simmering water until smooth and warm
• Place the cake on wire rack and pour glaze of the top making sure to cover the entire cake and sides. Use an offset spatula to smooth out if needed.
• Decorate with fresh raspberries, strawberries or crumbled gold leaf – do not refrigerate after icing.

Wonderful rich cake! This is a crowd pleaser that is easy! Cake can be prepared then frozen – ice just prior to serving. I decorate with raspberries.
